The AURO Brak arrives on your wall and immediately belongs — a dark metal cage, a warm polycarbonate diffuser, the kind of form that suggests it has weathered something and come out better for it.
The body is formed from painted metal with a matte black finish that resists corrosion and holds its colour through rain, wind, and temperature change. The polycarbonate diffuser softens the LED output into something warm and directional — not a flood, not a spotlight, but the kind of light that makes an entrance feel considered. At 16W or 30W, the output is substantial enough to be genuinely useful, not merely decorative.

- Wipe the metal body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive pads or chemical cleaners that may damage the painted finish.
- Clean the polycarbonate diffuser with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents, acetone, or alcohol-based cleaners — these will cloud the surface.
- Do not pressure-wash the fixture. IP65 protects against water jets but sustained high-pressure spray can force water into the housing over time.
- For coastal installations, wipe down the body every 2–3 months with a damp cloth to remove salt build-up before it can accumulate.
- Always disconnect from power at the mains before cleaning or inspecting the fixture.
- The LED module is integrated and non-replaceable. At end of life (50,000 hours), the full fixture should be replaced.

- Q: Is 16W bright enough for practical use, or is this more of an aesthetic light?
A: At 16W with 85 lm/W efficiency, the Brak produces approximately 1,360 lumens — comparable to a 100W incandescent bulb. That is more than sufficient for illuminating an entrance, pathway, or porch for practical use. The 30W option produces approximately 2,550 lumens for larger areas or brighter requirements. - Q: Can the LED be replaced when it burns out?
A: The LED module is integrated into the fixture and is not designed to be replaced. However, with a rated lifespan of 50,000 hours, at 8 hours of use per night the LED will last approximately 17 years before reaching end of life. - Q: Will the polycarbonate diffuser yellow over time in direct sunlight?
A: The diffuser is manufactured from UV-stabilised polycarbonate, which is specifically formulated to resist yellowing and degradation from UV exposure. It is the same material used in commercial outdoor lighting for this reason. - Q: Is it compatible with a standard dimmer switch?
A: Yes — the Brak is dimmable and compatible with standard leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmer switches. For best results, use a dimmer rated for LED loads. Not all dimmers are LED-compatible, so check the dimmer's specification before installation.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.
