Some things belong outside. The AURO Stav is one of them — a clean, linear wall light that draws its power from the sun and asks nothing of you in return. No wiring. No electrician. No cable running along the wall. Just a considered form mounted flush to the stone or render, and light that arrives each evening without being summoned.
The Stav's slender profile sits close to the wall, casting a soft 3000K wash that reads as warm without being amber. The acrylic diffuser distributes the light evenly along its length — no hotspots, no harsh edges. The motion sensor activates within a 5-metre radius, holding the light for long enough to matter, then stepping back into standby. Three modes give you full control: motion-triggered high, motion-triggered low, or constant low — switched via the included remote.
IP65 rated and built for year-round outdoor use, the Stav charges in 4.5 hours of daylight and runs for up to 12 hours after dark. The monocrystalline solar panel is integrated into the top face — no separate panel to position, no cable to route. It works in diffuse light, though south or west-facing walls will always give the best performance.

- Wipe the body and diffuser with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, or high-pressure water.
- Clean the solar panel surface periodically with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust, bird droppings, or debris that may reduce charging efficiency.
- In coastal environments, wipe down the fitting monthly to prevent salt build-up on the ABS body.
- Do not paint over or cover the solar panel — this will prevent charging.
- If storing for an extended period, bring indoors and allow the battery to discharge to approximately 50% before storage.

- Q: Will this work on a north-facing wall that gets little direct sunlight?
A: The monocrystalline panel charges in diffuse and indirect light, so it will still charge on a north-facing wall — but runtime will be shorter than on a south or west-facing wall. In UK conditions, expect 4–6 hours of runtime on a north-facing wall versus 8–12 hours in full sun. - Q: How long does the light stay on when the motion sensor is triggered?
A: The default hold time is approximately 20–30 seconds after motion stops. This is not adjustable — it is fixed by the sensor firmware. The wireless remote allows you to switch modes but not adjust the hold time. - Q: Can I change the mode without the remote — for example if I lose it?
A: The three modes (motion high / motion low / constant low) are set via the included wireless remote. Without the remote, the light defaults to motion-triggered high brightness mode. Replacement remotes are available from the supplier. - Q: Does the solar panel charge through a window if I mount it indoors near glass?
A: No — standard glass filters out a significant portion of the UV and infrared spectrum that solar panels rely on. The Stav must be mounted outdoors with the panel exposed to open sky to charge effectively.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
