• Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth or a clean feather duster. Do not use wet cloths, solvents, or cleaning sprays directly on the canvas surface.
• Avoid hanging in rooms with sustained high humidity — bathrooms, kitchens with heavy steam, or conservatories with condensation. Oil on canvas is sensitive to prolonged moisture exposure.
• Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods. UV exposure over time can cause the oil paint to yellow or fade.
• Do not lean objects against the canvas surface or apply pressure to the painted area — the raised texture of the oil paint can be damaged by impact or sustained contact.
• If the painting arrives with a faint oil paint smell, allow it to air in a well-ventilated room for 24–48 hours. This is normal for handmade oil paintings and will dissipate completely.

• Q: Is this a real painting or a print? A: It is a real, 100% handmade oil painting. Each piece is painted individually by hand in oil paint on canvas — not printed, not reproduced digitally. The surface has genuine texture from the paint application. No two pieces are identical.
• Q: Does it come with a frame? A: No — a frame is not included. The canvas can be hung directly on the wall as-is for a clean, gallery-style finish, or you can add a frame of your own choosing for a more formal look. The canvas depth is 4cm, which fits most standard deep-set frames.
• Q: It smells of paint when it arrives — is that normal? A: Yes, completely normal. Handmade oil paintings can carry a faint solvent or paint smell when first unpacked, particularly if they have been in transit packaging. Place it in a well-ventilated room for 24–48 hours and the smell will dissipate fully.
• Q: Will the colours look exactly like the product photos? A: The palette is deep black and warm off-white — there is very little colour variation to worry about. Screen calibration can affect how the contrast reads, but the actual painting will be consistent with what is shown. Because each piece is handmade, the exact placement of brushstrokes will differ slightly from the images — this is a feature, not a flaw.
• Q: Can I hang it in a bathroom or kitchen? A: We recommend against it. Oil on canvas is sensitive to sustained humidity and steam. The painting is best suited to living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, and offices — rooms with stable temperature and low humidity.
