The Lykt is not a lamp with a shade. It is the light source itself — a solid copper bar, 40 centimetres long, with an integrated LED that runs the full length of the fixture. The copper body is the diffuser. The light emerges from the material rather than through it, giving a warm, even spread that flatters without flattening. At 3500K and Ra 90, it renders colour accurately — skin tones, fabric, tile — the way daylight does, not the way most bathroom lights do.
IP44 rated, the Lykt handles the humidity and occasional splash of a bathroom without compromise. The touch switch on the body means wet hands are not a problem. - Q: Is this safe to install in a bathroom above a sink or shower? A: Yes. The Lykt carries an IP44 rating, which means it is protected against water splashing from any direction. It is safe to install above a sink, vanity mirror, or in a bathroom where it may be exposed to steam and occasional water contact. It is not rated for direct water jets or submersion — do not install inside a shower enclosure.
- Q: Will this cause glare when used as a mirror light? A: No. The Lykt is designed as a mirror front light — the integrated LED bar runs horizontally across the full 40cm length, casting light forward and downward rather than directly into the eye. The warm 3500K output at Ra 90 produces a flattering, even spread without the harsh glare of a single-point light source.
- Q: Is the copper finish real copper, or is it a coating over another material? A: The lamp body is constructed from copper — not a copper-coloured coating over iron or aluminium. The polished finish is applied to the copper surface. As with all polished copper, the finish may develop a natural patina over time in humid environments, which many buyers consider part of the material's character.
- Q: Can I use this lamp with a dimmer switch? A: No. The Lykt uses an integrated LED with a built-in touch on/off switch and is not compatible with an external wall dimmer. How long will it take to receive my order?

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.
