The AURO Dug is a soft cream pendant light built around a sculpted fabric shade — gathered into a full, rounded dome that pulls from Japanese craft sensibility and quiet French interiors at the same time. The body is iron, the shade is cloth, and a small brass-tone tassel hangs from the base: three materials, one considered piece. It is the kind of fitting that makes a ceiling feel dressed rather than serviced.
Available in 40cm and 50cm diameters, the Dug suits bedrooms, dining spaces, reading corners, and any room where the ceiling has always felt like an afterthought. It runs on AC 165–265V with a standard E27 bulb base (20W maximum) — hardwired installation required.

- Dust the fabric shade gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use damp cloths, water spray, or cleaning solutions on the fabric — moisture can distort the cloth and leave permanent watermarks on the cream finish.
- For the iron rod, canopy, and brass-tone hardware, wipe with a barely damp cloth if needed, then dry immediately with a clean cloth to prevent any oxidisation marks.
- Replace the bulb only when the fitting is switched off and has had sufficient time to cool completely. Use an E27 bulb rated at 20W or below — exceeding this wattage risks heat build-up inside the shade.
- Keep the fitting away from steam, direct moisture, and high-humidity environments. The fabric shade is not moisture-rated and is designed for dry interior use only.

- Q: What is the shade made from? A: The shade is soft cream fabric cloth stretched over a sculpted iron frame. The gathered, panelled form is what creates the signature blooming dome silhouette — it is cloth all the way through, not paper or plastic.
- Q: What bulb does it take, and is one included? A: It takes a standard E27 screw-in bulb rated at a maximum of 20W. A bulb is not included — we recommend a warm white E27 LED (3000–3500K) to best complement the cream shade and the 3500K warm character of the fitting.
- Q: Is it dimmable? A: No. The Dug operates on switch control and is not compatible with dimmer switches. If you want variable brightness, pair it with a compatible E27 smart bulb that handles its own dimming independently of the wall switch.
- Q: What is the difference between the 40cm and 50cm sizes? A: The 40cm diameter works beautifully as a bedroom focal point, over a bedside cluster, or in a smaller dining space. The 50cm is more commanding — better suited to open-plan living rooms, larger dining tables, or rooms with higher ceilings where you want the shade to register from across the room.

How long will it take to receive my order?

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.
