AURO Skogen is the second kind. A hand-painted abstract life tree in gold, warm beige and soft grey, it carries the quiet authority of something made slowly, by hand, with care. Skogen: the Norwegian word for forest. You can feel the roots in it.
The composition rises from the canvas — branches reaching, gold catching the light, the whole surface built up in layers of oil until the tree has weight and the background has depth. This is not a print with a textured edge. The paint is real. The decisions are visible. Each piece is unique because each piece is made, not manufactured.
Stretched over solid pine stretcher bars and arriving gallery-ready, Skogen needs nothing more than a wall and a nail. The canvas wraps the frame with a gallery depth that looks intentional from every angle — no frame required, though it welcomes one. Four sizes let you choose the scale the room deserves.

- Hang away from direct sunlight and high-humidity areas (bathrooms, kitchens) to preserve the oil paint and prevent canvas movement.
- If a faint paint or solvent smell is present on arrival, unbox in a ventilated room and allow the piece to air for 24–48 hours before hanging.
- The pine stretcher frame is kiln-dried to minimise warping. If minor warping occurs over time, it can usually be corrected by lightly misting the back of the canvas with water and allowing it to dry flat.

- Q: Is this a print or an original hand-painted piece? A: It is a 100% original hand-painted oil painting — not a print, not a giclee, not a digital reproduction. Each piece is painted individually by hand, which means no two are identical. You are receiving an original work, not a copy.
- Q: Will my painting look exactly like the product photo? A: The composition and palette — gold, warm beige and soft grey — will be consistent across all pieces. However, because each painting is made by hand, there will be natural variation in brushstroke placement, the depth of the gold, and the texture of the surface. This is a feature of hand-painted work, not a flaw. Your piece is genuinely unique.
- Q: Does it arrive with a smell from the paint? A: A faint paint or solvent smell is normal for hand-painted oil works and will dissipate within a few days of unpacking. Unbox in a ventilated room and allow the piece to air for 24–48 hours before hanging.
- Q: Can it be hung horizontally as well as vertically? A: The composition is designed for portrait (vertical) orientation. The tree form, brushwork direction and tonal balance are all structured around a vertical format. Hanging it horizontally will alter the intended balance of the piece and is not recommended.

What is your return policy?

Email us at hello@byauro.com with a photo of the damage within the 30-day return window. We'll send a replacement free of charge — no hassle, no back and forth.
How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
