Painted on premium linen-cotton blend canvas stretched over a solid pine frame, Varme arrives gallery-ready with a depth that photographs cannot fully capture. The palette was chosen to anchor a room — warm enough to invite, restrained enough to let the space breathe. It sits equally at home above a low oak sideboard, behind a dining table, or as the single considered object on an otherwise bare wall.

- Dust lightly with a soft, dry cloth or a clean feather duster — do not use wet cloths or cleaning sprays directly on the canvas surface.
- If surface dust accumulates, use a can of compressed air held at a distance of at least 30cm to gently clear it without contact.
- Avoid hanging in direct sunlight for prolonged periods — UV exposure over time can cause gradual yellowing of oil-based pigments.
- Do not hang in bathrooms, kitchens, or other high-humidity environments — moisture can cause canvas warping and paint adhesion issues over time.
- If the canvas develops minor warping, this can often be corrected by lightly misting the back of the canvas with water and allowing it to dry flat — do not attempt this on the painted surface.
- Handle by the frame only — avoid touching the painted surface with bare hands, as natural oils from skin can affect the paint over time.

- Q: Is this actually hand-painted, or is it a print on canvas? A: It is genuinely hand-painted in oils on canvas — not a giclee, not a digital print, and not a reproduction. Each piece is painted individually, which means the brushwork, texture, and minor tonal variations are real. No two canvases are identical.
- Q: Will the colours look the same in my home as they do in the product photos? A: Photography always introduces some variation — the palette in person tends to read warmer and richer than on screen. The dominant tones are ochre, warm grey, soft brown and white. In natural daylight the ochre is golden and grounded; under warm artificial light it deepens.
- Q: Does it arrive ready to hang, or do I need to buy a frame? A: It arrives fully gallery-wrapped and ready to hang — no frame required. The canvas is stretched over solid pine stretcher bars with a gallery depth of approximately 3cm, so the sides of the canvas are also painted and look intentional from any angle. Hanging hardware is included.
- Q: Will the canvas warp or crack over time? A: Canvas warping is typically caused by humidity fluctuations or direct sunlight. Hung indoors away from direct sun and high-moisture areas, the canvas will remain stable. The pine stretcher frame is kiln-dried to minimise movement. If minor warping occurs, it can usually be corrected by lightly misting the back of the canvas with water and allowing it to dry flat.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.

Once it's dispatched, we can't modify it, but you can return it under our 30-day return policy.
