There is a particular quality of light that belongs at the entrance of a home. Not the harsh brightness of a security lamp. Not the cold blue of a flood light. Something warmer — something that says the house is lived in, considered, and worth arriving at. The AURO Tori is that light.
Inspired by the clean geometry of East Asian architecture, the Tori is built around a rectangular grid-patterned shade and a distinctive curved hook arm — both cast in matte black aluminium alloy. The white diffuser shade scatters the E27 bulb's warmth evenly across the wall, casting a soft, contained pool of light that reads as intentional rather than functional. In daylight, the silhouette holds its own: the hook arm and grid frame are architectural details that most outdoor lights simply do not have.
The aluminium die-cast body is built for permanent outdoor installation. It does not rust, does not corrode, and does not require seasonal maintenance. The E27 socket accepts any standard LED bulb — warm white for a welcoming entrance, neutral white for a courtyard or balcony. The lamp ships with a bulb included.

- Switch off and allow the lamp to cool fully before cleaning.
- Wipe the aluminium body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, solvents, or harsh chemical cleaners — these will damage the matte black finish.
- Clean the plastic diffuser shade with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not submerge or use solvents.
- Do not use a pressure washer or direct hose on the fixture — this can force water past the seals.
- Inspect the mounting screws and wall fixings annually and tighten if necessary.
- Use only LED bulbs rated for enclosed fixtures in the E27 socket. Incandescent or halogen bulbs generate excessive heat inside the sealed shade and will shorten bulb life significantly.

- Q: How do I replace the E27 bulb when it eventually needs changing?
A: The top of the fixture unscrews or releases via two screws on the upper rim, allowing the shade to lift away and give access to the E27 socket. No specialist tools are required — a standard screwdriver is sufficient. The lamp ships with a warm white LED included, so replacement should not be needed for several years of normal use. - Q: Does the E27 socket require a bulb rated for enclosed fixtures?
A: Yes. Because the shade is sealed for weather resistance, heat from the bulb cannot escape freely. Always use an LED bulb rated for enclosed or fully enclosed fixtures — these are designed to operate safely at higher temperatures. Standard LED bulbs not rated for enclosed use will overheat and fail prematurely. The included bulb is suitable for enclosed use. - Q: Will the white plastic shade yellow or discolour over time in UV exposure?
A: The diffuser shade is made from UV-stabilised plastic. Some gradual yellowing is possible over many years of direct sun exposure, but this is a slow process. The shade is not in direct sunlight when the lamp is wall-mounted under an eave or overhang, which significantly reduces UV exposure. - Q: Can this be hardwired to an existing outdoor junction box?
A: Yes. The Tori is a standard hardwired wall light — it connects directly to your existing outdoor wiring via the back plate. No special wiring is required. If you are replacing an existing outdoor wall light, the Tori will connect to the same junction box. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
