Some lights illuminate a space. The Grim does something older — it marks it. Mounted beside a door or along a garden path, it signals arrival. A warm amber glow through corrugated glass, a cast aluminium body weathered to look like it has always been there. This is not a light you notice. It is a light you feel.
The Grim is built from die-cast aluminium with a matte black finish and fitted with a corrugated glass shade that diffuses light into soft, irregular patterns across the wall and ground. The E27 socket accepts any standard LED bulb — warm white for a traditional amber glow, or daylight for a crisper, more contemporary feel. The choice is yours. The fixture is rated IP65, meaning it is sealed against dust and protected against water jets from any direction. Rain, coastal air, morning frost — the Grim does not care.

E27 bulbs are widely available at any hardware store. - Q: Is IP65 enough for a fully exposed wall — rain, wind, coastal air?
A: Yes. IP65 means the fixture is completely dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. It is the standard rating for exposed outdoor fixtures and is suitable for coastal environments, heavy rain, and year-round outdoor use. How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.
