A hand-painted abstract seascape in grey, blue and white, it holds the particular quiet of water at distance: the horizon barely there, the surface barely moving, the whole thing suspended in a moment that doesn't quite belong to any time of day. Hav: the Norwegian word for sea. It earns it.
Each piece is painted by hand in oil and acrylic on stretched canvas — not printed, not reproduced. The artist works in layers, building the surface until the water has weight and the sky has depth. The result is a painting that changes as the light in your room changes. In the morning it reads pale and open. In the evening the greys deepen. It is never quite the same painting twice.
The canvas is gallery-wrapped over a solid pine stretcher frame, the sides painted to match, and arrives ready to hang. No frame required. Three sizes are available — 50×70cm for a considered accent, 60×80cm for a stronger presence, and 75×100cm for a room that needs a focal point.

- Dust lightly with a soft, dry cloth — do not use water, solvents, or cleaning sprays directly on the painted surface.
- Hang away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and canvas movement over time.
- Avoid hanging in high-humidity areas such as bathrooms or above a stove — sustained moisture can cause canvas warping and paint lifting.
- If minor canvas warping occurs, lightly mist the back of the canvas with water and allow it to dry flat — this corrects most minor movement.
- Do not lean heavy objects against the painted surface or store face-down without protective packaging.

- Q: Is this a print or an original hand-painted piece? A: It is a 100% hand-painted original — painted in oil and acrylic by hand. It is not a canvas print, giclee, or reproduction. Because each piece is made individually, no two are identical. The brushwork, layering, and surface texture are unique to your piece.
- Q: Will my painting look exactly like the product photo? A: The composition and palette — grey, blue and white — will be consistent across all pieces. Because each is hand-painted, there will be natural variation in brushstroke placement, texture depth, and tonal balance. This variation is inherent to hand-painted work and is a feature, not a flaw. You are receiving an original, not a copy.
- Q: Does it arrive with a smell from the paint? A: A faint paint or solvent smell is normal for hand-painted oil and acrylic works and will dissipate within a few days of unpacking. Unbox in a ventilated room and allow the piece to air for 24–48 hours before hanging.
- Q: Can I hang it horizontally instead of vertically? A: The composition is designed for portrait (vertical) orientation. The horizon line, brushwork direction, and tonal balance are all structured around a vertical format. Hanging it horizontally will alter the intended balance of the piece and is not recommended.

What is your return policy?

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
