The AURO Aldric is that light — a European lantern wall sconce with a scrolled iron arm, tempered glass panels, and an E27 socket that holds whatever warmth you choose. It belongs at the front door of a period home, beside a garden gate, or flanking a garage entrance. It looks like it has always been there.
The body is cast iron, finished in matte black. The arm curves with intention — not ornate for ornate's sake, but shaped to hold the lantern at the right angle, the right height, the right distance from the wall. The glass panels are clear and tempered, sealed to IP65 standard. Rain, frost, coastal air — it is built for all of it. The E27 socket accepts any standard bulb: warm Edison filament for atmosphere, daylight LED for function, smart bulb for control.
IP65 means fully sealed against dust and water jets from any direction. The cable entry is sealed. The glass is sealed. Nothing gets in. It is rated for outdoor use in the truest sense — not just a covered porch, but a fully exposed garden wall, a gatepost, a fence beside the driveway.

- Q: Does it come with a bulb included?
A: No — the AURO Aldric uses a standard E27 socket and does not include a bulb. Any E27 bulb up to 60W works: warm Edison filament for atmosphere, LED for efficiency, or a smart bulb for scheduling. We recommend a 2700K warm white for the most authentic lantern glow. - Q: Will the glass panels crack or discolour in cold or wet weather?
A: No. The panels are tempered glass — impact-resistant and rated for outdoor temperature extremes. The IP65 seal prevents moisture ingress at every joint. The glass will not haze, yellow, or crack under normal outdoor conditions. - Q: Is it suitable for coastal locations with salt air?
A: Yes. The IP65 rating covers full protection against water jets from any direction, and the matte black powder coat on the cast iron body is formulated to resist surface corrosion. For very high-salinity coastal environments, we recommend an annual wipe-down with a dry cloth to remove salt deposits. - Q: Is the cable entry sealed — will water get in through the wiring hole?
A: Yes, the cable entry is sealed as part of the IP65 rating. Water cannot enter through the wiring point under normal outdoor conditions including rain and pressure washing at a safe distance.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.
