Some outdoor lights announce themselves. The AURO Kris does something quieter — it catches the light, fractures it, and sends it across the wall in a way that stops you at the door. The copper body holds the crystal shade like a setting holds a stone. It is not trying to be decorative. It simply is.
The Kris is built from solid copper and hand-cut crystal, finished in either warm gold or deep black. The diamond-form shade refracts the 7W LED within into a scatter of warm points — not a flood, not a spotlight, but something closer to candlelight scaled for the outdoors. It is the kind of light that makes a front door feel like an arrival.
IP65 rated and built for AC 85–265V, the Kris works in every climate and every country. The copper body resists corrosion naturally — it does not need protecting from the weather. The ETL certification confirms it has been independently tested and verified for safety in outdoor residential use.

- Wipe the copper body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or steel wool — these will scratch the finish.
- The copper will develop a natural patina over time. This is normal and expected — it is not a defect. If you prefer to slow the patina, apply a thin coat of clear lacquer spray once per year.
- Clean the crystal shade with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents or glass cleaners containing ammonia.
- Do not pressure wash — the IP65 rating protects against rain and splashing, not direct high-pressure water jets.
- For coastal installations, wipe the body down with a dry cloth every 4–6 weeks to remove salt deposits.
- The LED module is integrated and non-replaceable. If the light fails after the 50,000-hour lifespan, the unit should be replaced.

- Q: Can this be installed in a coastal location — will the salt air damage it?
A: Yes. The copper body is naturally corrosion-resistant and performs well in salt-air environments. The IP65 rating seals the internal components against moisture. Wipe the exterior down with a dry cloth every 4–6 weeks to remove surface salt deposits and the lamp will remain in excellent condition. - Q: The LED is built in — what happens when it burns out?
A: The integrated 7W LED is rated for 50,000 hours of use. At 6 hours per night, that is approximately 22 years before the LED reaches end of life. When it does, the unit would need to be replaced — but at that point, the lamp has more than paid for itself. - Q: Does it work with a dimmer switch?
A: No — the Kris is not dimmable. It operates at full brightness (640 lumens) when switched on. If variable brightness is important to you, this is worth noting before purchasing. - Q: Will the crystal shade yellow or discolour outdoors over time?
A: No. The shade is genuine crystal, not acrylic or plastic. Crystal does not yellow, cloud, or degrade with UV exposure. The clarity and refractive quality will remain unchanged over the life of the lamp.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.
