The wall does not need to hold a lamp. The lamp can live inside it. The AURO Uppo is a recessed reading light — flush with the surface, invisible until the moment it is needed, and then precisely, quietly there.
Set into the wall with a clean iron faceplate, the Uppo's rotatable head pivots to direct light exactly where it belongs — angled down for reading, turned forward for a wash of ambient warmth, or tilted to catch the texture of a headboard. There are no cords. No surface clutter. No compromise between function and form. The built-in push switch sits hidden in the body, pressed on and off without breaking the line of the wall.
Available in matte black, warm gold, and polished chrome — each finish a different conversation with the room around it. The black recedes into dark interiors. The gold catches the light. The chrome holds the geometry of the space.
AURO is about removing what does not need to be there. The Uppo is that principle made physical — a light that disappears into the architecture and only reveals itself through what it illuminates.

- Q: Does this require cutting a hole in the wall, or does it mount on the surface? A: The Uppo is a recessed flush-mount fixture — it does require a hole to be cut in the wall (approximately 10 × 10 × 23cm based on the packing cavity). Once installed, the iron faceplate sits flush with the wall surface with no visible bracket or housing. Professional installation is recommended.
- Q: Does it need a separate wall switch, or does it have its own? A: The Uppo has a built-in push switch integrated into the lamp body — press in to turn off, press out to turn on. No separate switch plate is required, though it can also be connected to an existing wall switch circuit if preferred.
- Q: Can it be used with a dimmer switch? A: The Uppo does not support dimming. The integrated LED driver is not compatible with dimmer circuits. It operates at full brightness only, controlled via the built-in push switch.
- Q: What is the colour temperature — will it feel warm or cool? A: The integrated LED is 3500K — a neutral warm white that sits between the amber warmth of candlelight and the crisp clarity of daylight. It is well-suited to reading and task lighting without feeling harsh or clinical.

What if my order arrives damaged?
Email us at hello@byauro.com with a photo of the damage within 48 hours of delivery. We'll send a replacement free of charge — no hassle, no back and forth.
How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
