Some rooms don't need more light. They need the right light. The kind that pools softly against a wall, turns a corner warm, and makes the whole space feel like somewhere you chose to be. The AURO Vael does exactly that.
A clear glass globe — 15cm across — sits at the end of a slender metal arm in either matte black or brushed gold. The globe doesn't filter the light so much as hold it, letting it breathe outward in every direction. The backplate is a clean 10cm disc. The arm extends just enough to give the globe room to float. Nothing is decorative that isn't also structural. That's the point.
The E27 socket accepts any bulb you choose — a warm filament LED at 2200K for amber evenings, a daylight bulb for a reading nook, a smart bulb if you want to dial the mood from your phone. The Vael doesn't dictate the atmosphere. It creates the conditions for it.

- Q: Will a standard A19 or A60 bulb fit inside the globe? A: Yes. The globe is 15cm in diameter. A standard A19/A60 bulb (approximately 6cm in diameter) fits comfortably with room to spare. An Edison filament E27 bulb is recommended for the best visual effect through the clear glass.
- Q: Does this work with a dimmer switch? A: Yes. The E27 socket is compatible with dimmable LED bulbs. For smooth, flicker-free dimming, use a dimmable LED bulb with a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch. The dimmer switch is not included.
- Q: Do I need an electrician to install this? A: The Vael is a hardwired fixture. If you are replacing an existing wall sconce at an existing wired wall point, it is a straightforward swap most confident DIYers can complete. If you are creating a new wall point from scratch, a qualified electrician is recommended.
- Q: Will the clear glass create glare or look too harsh? A: At low wattages, the 15cm globe diffuses the bulb's glow softly across the wall. For a warm, ambient effect without glare, use a 4W–6W Edison filament LED at 2200K–2700K. The globe size ensures the light spreads gently rather than projecting a direct beam.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
