There is a particular quality of light that comes through frosted glass. Not sharp. Not directional. Just present — a soft, even glow that fills the wall behind it and makes the whole room feel like it exhaled. The AURO Lune is built around that quality. A frosted glass globe, 15cm across, sits at the end of a slender iron arm. The light passes through the glass and arrives at the room already softened, already warm, already exactly what the space needed.
The form is restrained in the way that considered things always are. The globe is round and complete. The arm is slender. The backplate is a clean disc. In gold or matte black, both finishes are designed to sit quietly against plaster, timber, or stone — to be noticed when you look for them, and to disappear when you don't. The E14 socket accepts any bulb you choose: a 4W filament LED for amber evenings, a daylight bulb for a reading corner, a smart bulb if you want to dial the mood from your phone.

- Q: Will the frosted glass make the light feel cooler or harsher than the bulb's stated colour temperature? A: No. Frosted glass diffuses the light but does not change the colour temperature of the bulb. A 2700K bulb will still produce a warm amber glow through the Lune's frosted globe — the frosting softens the light and removes glare without shifting the warmth. If the light feels too bright at full brightness, use a lower-wattage bulb (4W–6W LED is recommended for ambient use).
- Q: Does this work with a dimmer switch? A: Yes, with the right setup. The E14 socket is compatible with dimmable LED bulbs. For smooth, flicker-free dimming, use a dimmable LED bulb with a trailing-edge (electronic) dimmer switch. Leading-edge (resistive) dimmer switches can cause flickering with LED bulbs. The dimmer switch is not included and must be installed separately.
- Q: Are E14 bulbs easy to find as replacements? A: Yes. E14 is a standard small-screw bulb base used across thousands of European and UK fixtures. Replacement E14 LED bulbs are widely available at B&Q, Screwfix, IKEA, Bunnings, and online retailers. A 4W E14 LED costs approximately £2–£5 and is available from most major retailers.
- Q: Do I need an electrician to install this? A: If you are replacing an existing hardwired wall sconce at a wired wall point, most confident DIYers can complete the swap — it is a standard live, neutral, and earth connection. If you are creating a new wall point from scratch, a qualified electrician is required to run the cable and install a wall box. All mounting hardware is included.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
