The Dell is built from high-quality metal with a polished, electroplated finish. The shade rotates. The arm adjusts. The E27 socket accepts LED or Edison bulbs, so the warmth of the light is yours to decide. In black, it disappears into a dark interior and becomes pure geometry. - Q: What bulb should I use for the best effect? A: The Dell uses an E27 base and accepts bulbs up to 40W. For a warm, atmospheric glow close to the original Bauhaus aesthetic, a 4–6W warm white Edison-style LED (2200–2700K) works best. For a cleaner, more focused desk light, a 6–8W neutral white LED (3000–3500K) is recommended. The bulb is not included.
- Q: Does the shade get hot during use? A: With a standard LED bulb (recommended), the glass shade remains cool to the touch during normal use. LED bulbs generate significantly less heat than incandescent or halogen equivalents. If using a non-LED bulb, keep within the 40W maximum rating and allow airflow around the shade.
- Q: Can I use a smart bulb or dimmable bulb in this lamp? A: Yes. The E27 socket is compatible with smart bulbs (e.g., Philips Hue, IKEA Tradfri) and standard dimmable LED bulbs. Note that dimming via the lamp's push-button switch is not supported — dimming requires either a smart bulb controlled via app, or a dimmable bulb paired with an in-line dimmer switch.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
