The AURO Vaeler is one of those objects — a handwoven bamboo and rattan shade, built strand by strand into an oval form that holds light the way only natural materials can. Warm. Diffused. The kind of glow that makes a room feel inhabited rather than illuminated.
The Vaeler sits on a bamboo pedestal base — clean, considered, grounded. The oval shade casts the light softly outward through the weave, throwing a pattern of warmth across the surfaces around it. In the evening, it transforms a bedside table into a place worth sitting beside. In the morning, it holds its shape as a sculptural object — something that earns its place on any surface it touches.
Two sizes. The larger form — 33cm wide — commands a surface with quiet authority. The smaller — 18cm wide — is made for intimate spaces: a reading corner, a bedside, a desk that needs something considered on it. Both cast the same 2700K warmth. Both are built from the same handwoven bamboo. The choice is one of scale, not character.

- Wipe the bamboo base with a dry cloth. Avoid moisture and direct sunlight, which can cause the bamboo to warp or fade over time.
- Dust the woven bamboo shade with a soft, dry cloth or a feather duster. Do not use damp cloths or cleaning products on the shade.
- Use an LED E27 bulb — LED bulbs produce minimal heat, which is important for the longevity of a natural bamboo shade. Avoid incandescent or halogen bulbs.
- Do not exceed the recommended E27 bulb wattage for the socket. A standard 5–10W LED is sufficient and produces the correct warmth for this lamp.
- Indoor use only. Keep away from moisture, rain, and high-humidity environments.
- Disconnect from power before cleaning or changing the bulb.

- Q: Does the lamp come with a bulb included? A: No. The Vaeler uses a standard E27 bulb socket — bulb not included. Any E27 LED bulb will fit. We recommend a warm white (2700–3000K) LED bulb at 5–10W for best results with the bamboo shade.
- Q: Is the bamboo shade a fire risk with a standard bulb? A: Not with an LED bulb. LED E27 bulbs produce very little heat — the shade remains cool to the touch during normal use. We strongly recommend LED over incandescent or halogen, which produce significantly more heat and are not suitable for natural bamboo shades.
- Q: Can I use a dimmable bulb with this lamp? A: The Vaeler has a push button switch and is not dimmer-equipped. However, if you fit a dimmable E27 LED bulb and connect the lamp to a wall dimmer switch, dimming will work as normal.
- Q: Will the bamboo shade fade or change colour over time? A: Natural bamboo will mellow slightly with age — this is characteristic of the material and considered part of its appeal. To slow any fading, keep the lamp away from direct sunlight and high-humidity environments.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
