The AURO Bjórr pairs a solid oak body with a frosted square glass shade — a combination that is warm in the morning, architectural at midday, and quietly radiant at night. The built-in LED casts a 3500K glow: not the amber of a candle, not the cold blue of a screen. The temperature of a room that has been lived in well.
The form is deliberate. The oak body — finished in natural grain — extends from the wall on a clean iron bracket in black or white. The frosted glass shade sits flush at the end, diffusing the light upward and outward in equal measure. The result is a fixture that does two things at once: it lights the wall, and it is the wall. An object worth looking at even when it's off.
The built-in LED module runs at 5W with a CRI of 90 — high enough that the colours in the room remain true. The 85–265V universal input means it works in any home, in any country, without an adapter or a conversation with an electrician about voltage. It is hardwired, clean, and permanent.

- Wipe the oak body with a dry cloth only. Do not use water, damp cloths, or cleaning sprays directly on the wood — moisture will raise the grain and may cause warping over time.
- For the frosted glass shade, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Dry immediately. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Wipe the iron bracket with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Disconnect from the mains supply at the wall switch before cleaning.
- Indoor use only. Do not install in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor locations.
- Do not expose the oak body to prolonged direct sunlight — this may cause fading or surface cracking over time.

- Q: The LED is built in — what happens when it fails? Can it be replaced? A: The built-in LED module is rated for 50,000 hours of continuous use. At 4 hours of use per day, that is approximately 34 years before the LED reaches its rated end-of-life. In the unlikely event of an early failure, the LED driver board is accessible and replaceable by a qualified electrician. The fixture is not designed to be discarded when the LED fails — it is designed to outlast the LED.
- Q: Is this compatible with a dimmer switch? A: No. The Bjórr is not dimmable. The built-in LED driver is not compatible with standard dimmer switches. It should be wired to a standard on/off switch only. Connecting it to a dimmer may cause flickering or damage the LED module.
- Q: Does the oak body get hot from the LED? Is it safe? A: The 5W LED generates minimal heat — significantly less than a halogen or incandescent bulb of equivalent light output. The LED module is positioned within the iron bracket, away from the oak body. The fixture has been tested to standard operating temperatures and is safe for continuous use. Do not cover or enclose the fixture during operation.
- Q: Do I need an electrician to install this? A: If you are replacing an existing hardwired wall sconce at a wired wall point, most confident DIYers can complete the swap — it is a standard live, neutral, and earth connection. If you are creating a new wall point from scratch, a qualified electrician is required to run the cable and install a wall box. All mounting hardware is included.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
