A soft cream fabric shade, round and generous, hanging low over the table or the bed or the corner of the room you keep returning to. It doesn't demand attention. It earns it, slowly, the way warmth always does.
The shade is woven cloth over an iron frame, finished in white — the kind of material that softens light rather than directing it, turning a single E27 bulb into something that fills the room evenly and gently. The colour temperature sits at 3500K: warm enough to feel like evening, clear enough to read by. It hangs on an adjustable cord, so the drop is yours to decide — low over a dining table, higher in a bedroom, wherever the room needs its centre of gravity.
The universal voltage means the Dug works anywhere — UK, US, Australia — without modification. The iron canopy mounts directly to the ceiling rose, hardwired for a clean, cord-free finish at the ceiling. No visible hardware. No compromise.

- Q: Does the fabric shade get hot — is there a fire risk? A: No. The Dug is rated for a maximum 20W E27 LED bulb, which produces very little heat. The fabric shade remains cool to the touch during normal use. Do not use incandescent or halogen bulbs above the rated wattage.
- Q: Is the cord length adjustable, and how low can it hang? A: Yes — the suspension cord is adjustable. The total cord length allows for a drop of up to approximately 120cm from the ceiling canopy, giving you full flexibility to position the shade at the right height for your space.
- Q: Is this hardwired or does it come with a plug? A: The Dug is a hardwired ceiling pendant — it connects directly to your ceiling wiring via the included canopy. There is no plug or cord socket. If you are unsure about installation, we recommend using a qualified electrician.
- Q: What bulb does it take, and is one included? A: It takes an E27 base bulb, maximum 20W. A bulb is not included. We recommend a warm white LED (3500K) at 10–15W to match the fixture's intended atmosphere and keep the shade cool.
- Q: Can I use this in a low-ceiling room? A: The Dug works best in rooms with a ceiling height of at least 2.2m, as the shade diameter is 40cm and the cord is adjustable. In lower-ceiling rooms, shorten the cord to keep the shade at a comfortable height above head level.

Email us at hello@byauro.com with a photo of the damage within 48 hours of delivery. We'll send a replacement free of charge — no hassle, no back and forth.
How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
