Some objects earn their place on a wall. The AURO Kira is one of them. A tall glass cylinder — clear, precise, unhurried — sits at the end of a slender iron arm and holds the light from within. Not a shade. Not a diffuser. A vessel. The light passes through the glass and arrives in the room already considered, already warm, already exactly where it needs to be.
The cylinder is 30cm tall and 8cm across — proportions that belong in a bedroom, a hallway, a hotel corridor, or a dining room wall. The iron arm and backplate come in matte black or brushed gold, both finished to sit quietly against plaster, stone, or timber. The E14 socket accepts any bulb you choose: a warm filament LED at 2700K for amber evenings, a daylight bulb for a reading corner, a smart bulb if you want to dial the mood from your phone. The Kira doesn't dictate the atmosphere. It creates the conditions for it.
The glass is clear — not frosted, not tinted. This is intentional. A clear cylinder shows the bulb, and the bulb becomes part of the fixture. Choose a filament LED and the Kira becomes a composition: the warm coil of the filament, the clean line of the glass, the slender arm extending from the wall. An object worth looking at even when it's off.

- Q: Will a clear glass cylinder cause glare or look too harsh? A: At low wattages, a filament LED inside the 30cm cylinder creates a warm, contained glow rather than a harsh point of light. For the best visual result, use a 4W–6W Edison filament LED at 2700K. The tall cylinder frames the bulb and the light spreads upward and outward softly. Avoid high-wattage bulbs (above 10W LED) in clear glass fixtures — the bulb will be visible and the light more intense.
- Q: Is this compatible with a dimmer switch? A: Yes, with the right combination. The E14 socket accepts dimmable LED bulbs. For smooth, flicker-free dimming, use a dimmable LED bulb with a trailing-edge (electronic) dimmer switch. Leading-edge (resistive) dimmer switches can cause flickering with LED bulbs — this is a dimmer compatibility issue, not a fault with the fixture. The dimmer switch is not included.
- Q: Does the glass get hot? Is it safe to touch during use? A: With a 4W–6W LED bulb, the glass remains cool to the touch during normal use. LED bulbs generate a fraction of the heat of equivalent halogen or incandescent bulbs. We do not recommend exceeding 10W LED — higher wattage bulbs generate more heat and the glass may become warm. Always allow the fixture to cool before cleaning or handling.
- Q: Do I need an electrician to install this? A: If you are replacing an existing hardwired wall sconce at a wired wall point, most confident DIYers can complete the swap — it is a standard live, neutral, and earth connection. If you are creating a new wall point from scratch, a qualified electrician is required to run the cable and install a wall box. All mounting hardware is included.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
