There is a particular quality of light that comes through glass. Not the light itself — the light as it arrives, softened and coloured by the material it passes through. The AURO Lykke is built around that moment. A round glass globe, suspended from an iron arm against the wall, catching the light from within and releasing it into the room as something warmer, quieter, more considered than bare light ever is.
The body is iron, finished in matte black. The arm extends from the wall plate at a gentle angle, holding the globe at the right height — close enough to feel intimate, far enough to cast properly. Three glass finishes are available: amber, which turns the light golden and honeyed; clear, which lets the bulb speak for itself; and smoke gray, which filters the light into something cooler and more restrained. Each finish changes the character of the room entirely.
The E27 base accepts any standard bulb — LED, incandescent, or filament. A warm filament-style LED at 2700K is the natural pairing: it fills the globe with a soft, glowing warmth that sits beautifully against the amber or smoke glass. The Lykke is hardwired, which means no trailing cord, no visible plug — just the lamp, the wall, and the light.
AURO designs for rooms that are lived in, not staged. The Lykke belongs beside a bed, at the end of a hallway, or flanking a mirror in a bathroom that deserves better than a strip light. - Q: Is this hardwired or does it plug into a wall outlet? A: The Lykke is hardwired — it connects directly to your wall wiring and does not have a plug or trailing cord. Professional installation is recommended if you are not comfortable working with mains wiring.
- Q: What bulb base does it take, and is a bulb included? A: The Lykke uses an E27 bulb base. A bulb is not included — you will need to purchase one separately. It is compatible with LED, incandescent, and filament bulbs up to 40W. We recommend a warm white (2700K) filament-style LED for best results with the amber or smoke glass.
- Q: Will the glass globe get hot to the touch during use? A: With a standard LED bulb (which we recommend), the glass globe will remain cool or only slightly warm to the touch during normal use. LED bulbs produce significantly less heat than incandescent bulbs. If you use an incandescent bulb, the globe will become warm — take care when handling after extended use.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?
We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
