There is a quality of light that only glass can produce — warm, alive, and different depending on the hour. The AURO Glans is built around that quality. A hand-blown glass globe, round and generous, suspended on an adjustable cord and available in four tones — amber, clear, blush pink, and deep teal — each one changing the character of the room it enters. It doesn't just light the space. It colours it.
The globe is real glass, mouth-blown with the subtle variation that comes from the process — no two quite identical. The amber tone deepens the warmth of an E27 LED bulb into something that feels like candlelight at scale. The clear globe lets the filament speak for itself. The pink softens everything. It mounts to the ceiling via a hardwired canopy, with an adjustable cord that lets you set the drop precisely — low over a dining table, high in a hallway, clustered in threes above a kitchen island. The universal voltage means it works across the UK, US, and Australia without modification.

- Q: Will the glass globe get hot during use? A: With an E27 LED bulb at 10–15W, the glass globe remains cool to the touch during normal use. Do not use incandescent bulbs above 40W in this fitting.
- Q: Is this hardwired or does it come with a plug? A: The Glans is a hardwired ceiling pendant — it connects directly to your ceiling wiring via the included metal canopy. There is no plug or cord socket. If you are unsure about installation, we recommend using a qualified electrician.
- Q: Can I use multiple Glans together over a dining table? A: Yes. The Glans works beautifully in clusters of two, three, or five at varying heights. Each globe requires its own ceiling connection point. For a standard dining table, two or three pendants spaced 50–70cm apart at a drop of 70–80cm above the table surface is standard.
- Q: What bulb does it take, and is one included? A: It takes a standard E27 base bulb, maximum 40W. A bulb is not included. For amber and teal, we recommend a warm white LED (2700K) at 10–15W. For the clear globe, a filament-style LED (2200–2400K) produces the most atmospheric result.
- Q: How fragile is the glass? A: The globe is hand-blown glass, packaged with protective foam inserts for transit. Handle with care during installation and avoid knocking the globe once mounted.

How do I know what size to choose?
Every product page lists exact dimensions for each option. For wall art, your piece should fill roughly two-thirds of the wall space above your furniture — measure the width and multiply by 0.6 to 0.75. Hang it with the centre at eye level, around 150cm from the floor.
For lighting, a simple rule used by top designers: add your room's length and width in metres, multiply by 2.5, and that gives you the ideal fixture width in centimetres.
Pendants over a dining table should hang 75-90cm above the table surface.

We do our best to ensure accurate colour representation, but slight variations can occur due to screen settings and lighting conditions. Our products are produced to match the listing images as closely as possible.
